I know that a lot of grey market dealers go to watch trade shows just to pretend, but the reality is that given the state of the luxury watch market, trade shows don’t make much sense anymore! Welcome to CRM Life Episode 115. During this episode, Charlie attends the infamous watch and jewelry show with Natalie and almost gets kicked out in the process. They actually confiscated one of our cameras momentarily and even wanted to take our mobile phone as well. I guess that the grey market stress has gotten to a lot of people! The good part of all this is that at least we got to record some pretty amazing watches! There were not many deals to be had at the show, but at least we came in contact with a new dealer from Pakistan at the show, who later stopped by the store to close on a sale for a client. These are serious offenses, which appear to cast a dark shadow over our industry. I can’t believe that our page got banned. This is so freaking CRAZY!! The crazier thing is that we already went through this TWICE around a year ago. Multiple sources suggested that we were the target of an attack by a hateful and jealous dealer. Have you ever seen Rolex make a neon booklet? Me either...until now, but that doesn’t mean the watch is fake, right? Welcome to CRM Life Episode 121, were a customer who comes in to sell me a Rolex gets irate when I tell him that I had to discount my original offer by $750. I was not trying to screw him. It was his previous jeweler who did. Even though the customer wanted to keep his name and that of the jeweler confidential, it is what it is. He was the victim of a dishonest grey market dealer (and we know there are quite a few of those around!). Oh, and in the middle of all this, Charlie’s girlfriend starts working for a competing jeweler. The bad part about it is that this particular jeweler is also in Miami. The worst part is that he’s on our same block! During this episode, you’ll also get to see us pick up our first prize competition winner at the airport and bring him to the store. We didn’t know the grey market could be such an ugly place...but let’s look at the bright side… At least we got our Instagram page back. Oh, and we even got an apologize from Trax, who agreed that the mishap a month ago at Luxury Bazaar was a little too much. Welcome to CRM Life Episode 108. Nah, we don’t do seasons here. I mean, what did you expect? This isn’t Netflix (and neither do we pretend it is). This episode is full of negotiations, emotions, and diamonds. Let’s start by the latter. You know, that shiny little form of carbon men are supposed to spend 3-months of salary to acquire? Natural diamond proponent jokes aside, we just launched our diamond marketplace, where you can have access to over a hundred thousand lab-grown and natural stones at unbelievable prices (see link below). During this episode, we recorded the first sale on the platform, the sale of a 2.55-carat lab diamond for a very special childhood friend, Sergeant Lazaro Perdigon.
